A Wonga Polska study conducted by Kantar shows that 80% of Poles use the Internet at some stage when choosing or buying an interior design product. The majority of respondents – a whopping 37% – look for furniture/equipment information online and then go to a brick-and-mortar store to view products and make a purchase decision.
The second large group of people are those who search for furniture on the Internet and compare its real appearance in the supermarket, but choose the best offer online and also buy online. The study also states that every seventh Pole buys furniture and home furnishing elements only in stationary stores, and every eighth respondent does so exclusively online. Interestingly, only 1% of respondents said they ask friends for furniture store recommendations.
